Richard
Vardigans was born in Kent, England and studied both in
his native country and with a German government scholarship at the
Herbert von Karajan Foundation in Berlin and with Franco Ferrara
in Italy.
For over 25 years he has been active as conductor, pianist and lecturer
– most recently as Generalmusikdirektor of the Theater and
Orchestra in Annaberg (Germany).
In addition to various CD and radio recordings (BBC and Netherlands
Radio) he has for many years given introductory concert and opera
talks in which his decidedly "English" sense of humour
together with an in-depth knowledge of the repertoire combine to
produce both an informative and entertaining experience. |
